Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

South32 is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support construction quality assurance and control for the Shafts and Concentrator projects at the Hermosa mining site in Arizona. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialist, the role involves daily field interaction with integrated construction teams to ensure safe and compliant execution of work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing quality assurance and quality control activities for shaft and concentrator construction.
• Support coordination with multiple contractors and subcontractors covering health, safety, security, environmental compliance, quality, and community relations.
• Ensure construction activities meet budget, schedule, and target requirements.
• Promote safe work practices and help achieve South32 corporate safety and business goals.
• Verify that project services conform to South32’s community relations and quality standards.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on‑site at the Hermosa project near Patagonia, Arizona.
• Ability to interact regularly with construction teams and contractors.
• Commitment to adhering to safety, environmental and quality standards.
