QA/QC Representative – Industrial Inspections

About the role

Southern Industrial seeks a local QA/QC Representative to support installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance projects across the Southeast. The role focuses on ensuring that all work complies with industry codes, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document inspection and surveillance activities on job sites.
• Review specifications, drawings, and reports to translate quality requirements into clear work instructions.
• Inspect incoming materials for compliance with contracts and purchase orders.
• Conduct job‑site audits, receipt inspections, and non‑destructive testing (VT, PT, MT, UTT).
• Maintain accurate records and reports of all inspection activities.

Required profile

• Knowledge of ASME codes and other standards governing power‑generation repairs and modifications.
• Familiarity with welding processes, welder qualification, and weld procedure qualification.
• Ability to obtain Level II certification for VT, PT, MT, and UTT methods.
• Strong analytical and expository writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
