Prospective Reflection Internship – Water Agency

About the role

This 4‑to‑6 month internship supports the General Direction of the Loire‑Bretagne Water Agency in developing a long‑term, forward‑looking vision for the agency over the next 20‑25 years. The work will help shape internal strategy, anticipate future challenges, and inform partners about possible future scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a diagnostic to identify key variables influencing the future of water policy in the Loire‑Bretagne basin.
• Gather and analyse data on financing, governance, technological innovation, societal health, and food‑related issues.
• Develop three to four prospective scenarios, including a trend scenario and one or more disruptive scenarios.
• Document findings and present scenario narratives to internal teams and external partners.
• Assist in integrating scenario outcomes into the agency’s strategic planning process.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a university program (e.g., environmental studies, public policy, geography, or related fields).
• Strong analytical and research skills with an interest in water resources and climate change.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in French (English optional).
