Project Manager – Temporary Structures

About the role

United Rentals is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects involving the installation, removal, and repair of temporary structures. You will serve as the primary point of contact after contract award, coordinating with clients, contractors, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑installation planning meetings and strategy sessions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, sales, and stakeholders to meet project specifications.
• Provide regular project status updates to clients.
• Oversee logistics, including scheduling, equipment delivery, and documentation.
• Track project performance on cost, schedule, and scope.
• Lead installation teams, both internal crews and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with construction plans, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Collect daily updates, address issues promptly, and maintain high‑quality standards.
• Assist with permitting and vendor management when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, temporary structures, or related industries.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25 % of the time.
• Safety‑sensitive designation per United Rentals policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
