Project Manager – Steel Fabrication & Erection

About the role

The company is a leading AISC‑certified steel fabricator and erector serving the East Coast, primarily Florida. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel projects up to 25,000 tons, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and seamless coordination across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project kick‑off meetings and develop detailed project plans.
• Coordinate sequencing, logistics, and special job issues with general contractors.
• Track submittals, press for timely returns, and manage inspection schedules.
• Communicate delivery schedules with field superintendents and release jobs for fabrication with detailers.
• Update job schedules, address field problems promptly, and mentor junior project managers.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑focused mindset.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects on time and within budget.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of AISC codes and compliance.
• Expertise in structural steel erection processes.
• Ability to accurately interpret sketches, blueprints, and construction drawings.
