Project Manager – Data Center Projects

About the role

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of data center and mission‑critical projects. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from early planning and pre‑design through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning, while collaborating with a global client base and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage building‑engineering design projects for data centers, semiconductor facilities, industrial and infrastructure assets.
• Support senior project managers on large‑scale initiatives and lead multidisciplinary design teams from conception to completion.
• Control project budget, scope, and schedule, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
• Handle forecasting, invoicing, and contract administration.
• Promote HDR through regular client interactions and develop proposal content, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Recruit mission‑critical staff in partnership with Business Group Managers.
• Travel 10‑20% of the time, including international sites as needed.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering data center and mission‑critical projects from planning through commissioning.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with regional and global stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through on complex initiatives.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to support international projects.
