Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer supports the development and execution of capital projects and plant engineering initiatives to sustain and improve manufacturing capabilities. You will apply engineering expertise to equipment, processes, and systems while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and value‑adding solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering expertise across all project phases, from concept through commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, food‑safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with equipment selection, specifications, layout development, and vendor evaluations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Controls, and external partners to achieve project goals.
• Develop project documentation, schedules, cost estimates, and technical justifications.
• Support commissioning, start‑up, and handoff of new equipment to operations and maintenance teams.
• Investigate new technologies, equipment, and methods to improve capability, efficiency, and profitability.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical controls, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience supporting engineering projects or capital initiatives.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
