Project Designer – Luxury Product Design (NY)

About the role

Yibi Group, a premium OEM partner for global luxury brands, is seeking a Project Designer to lead product design for North American luxury clients from its New York office. You will act as the bridge between the China headquarters and the U.S. market, delivering high‑end hardware, jewelry, and fashion accessory designs that align with local luxury aesthetics.

Key responsibilities

• Create tailored designs that integrate regional trends, market needs, and brand styles, covering original styling, structural optimization, and sample development.
• Run design projects independently, present concepts, compile client documentation, and oversee the full process from draft through prototype to production.
• Monitor luxury design trends, new materials, craftsmanship, and competitor activity to continuously improve product lines.
• Coordinate with China HQ, local sales, and production teams across time zones to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. safety regulations, industry, and brand standards while optimizing design workflows for standardized operations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of product design experience in luxury jewelry, fashion, or hardware.
• Proven experience in the U.S./North American luxury market; familiarity with top local brands is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of product structure, materials, craftsmanship, and production processes.
• Experience working in cross‑border, cross‑timezone teams; prior collaboration with Chinese teams is advantageous.
• Fluent English; Mandarin is a plus.
