Professor – Design School Leadership

About the role

We are seeking a senior academic leader to shape the future of our design school. The role involves driving brand excellence, faculty development, and industry collaboration to position the institution as a premier design education hub.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to establish the school as a top‑tier design brand nationally.
• Develop and engage a high‑performing faculty team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Build and maintain industry networks, organizing fortnightly forums for industry‑academic interaction.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define student selection criteria and maintain batch quality.
• Monitor emerging trends in curriculum design and pedagogy to keep the program ahead of the curve.
• Create and refine systems and processes that support the institution’s long‑term success.
• Design KPIs and KRAs for faculty and staff performance evaluation.
• Undertake additional duties as required by the school.

Required profile

• Ph.D. from a reputed institution (preferably).
• 10–15 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, with at least 5 years at the Associate Professor level or equivalent.
• Strong management and leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Solid research background.
• Willingness to reside on campus within 90 km of Hyderabad.
