Primary Care/Urgent Care Physician

About the role

The Primary Care/Urgent Care Physician is a core member of Nao Medical’s care team, providing comprehensive, patient‑centered care to individuals of all ages. You will be the first clinical contact, managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive health, and ensuring continuity across each patient’s healthcare journey.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations, obtain detailed histories, and perform complete physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based, personalized care plans.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions in compliance with regulations.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and screenings.
• Provide preventive services such as immunizations, screenings, and wellness exams.
• Utilize EMR systems, AI decision‑support tools, and telemedicine platforms to document care and improve patient access.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and mentorship of team members.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted New York medical license.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control certifications.
• Suboxone and CDL certifications are preferred.
• FMCSA certification to be obtained within the first month of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Experience using AI‑driven clinical decision‑support tools.
• Ability to conduct virtual visits via telemedicine platforms.
