Preventative Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Preventative Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability and performance of conveyor and material handling systems by executing scheduled maintenance activities. This full‑time position works within a defined mechanical scope and uses a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance using CMMS work orders.
• Replace and re‑lace belts, shorten and replace chains, and replace wear components.
• Execute corrective maintenance within training limits.
• Inspect equipment for early signs of wear or failure and escalate issues.
• Accurately document and close work orders in the CMMS.
• Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow standardized procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lb, work at heights, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with a CMMS.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
