Automotive Service Technician – Full‑Time

About the role

Mills Auto Group is expanding its new KIA team in Smithfield, NC and seeks a skilled Automotive Service Technician. This full‑time, onsite position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles in a dealership environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues.
• Repair and replace damaged, worn, or faulty parts.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Use specialized automotive diagnostic equipment and tools to service vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
• Stay current with new automotive technologies through training and workshops.
• Communicate with customers to explain services, answer questions, and recommend future maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• ASE certification (preferred) or manufacturer training.
