About the role

The Rankin County School District seeks a dedicated Pre‑K Teacher to deliver high‑quality early childhood education. Reporting to the Principal and the Director of Title II & III Programs, the teacher will create a nurturing classroom environment that supports the development of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a curriculum that meets individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
• Align lessons to state standards and ensure a coherent sequence of learning.
• Maintain a learning‑focused classroom community and manage space, time, and resources effectively.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide timely progress reports.
• Identify and report potential learning disabilities.
• Complete at least fifteen hours of professional development annually specific to pre‑K education.
• Communicate effectively with families and guardians.
• Prepare lesson materials and maintain written evidence of preparation as required.
