About the role
The Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation, Development, and Evaluation (gui2de) seeks a Policy and Research Associate to support its mission of addressing poverty and insecurity in low‑ and middle‑income countries. You will work closely with Professor Jishnu Das and a small, collaborative team that spans Washington, DC, and East Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in weekly in‑person team meetings, provide updates, and incorporate feedback.
- Conduct independent research and analysis on health and education topics.
- Assist in developing communication materials and messaging for research findings.
- Support field work, including travel to project sites as needed.
- Collaborate with faculty affiliates, operational staff, and students across Georgetown schools.
Required profile
- Strong interest in education, health, and development policy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team.
- Willingness to commit to a minimum two‑year tenure.
