Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

The Plant Controller will own the accuracy and integrity of all financial information for the Philadelphia Gear Western Gear Region at the Santa Fe Springs manufacturing site. As a key member of the plant’s management team, you will drive financial performance, enforce strong internal controls, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Western Region GM and site team to achieve business objectives.
• Lead, direct, and coach the finance team in general accounting, job‑cost accounting, and inventory validation.
• Prepare monthly POC accounting for the marine business, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Create and maintain annual operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and plans, entering data into OneStream as required.
• Develop and maintain internal control processes for P&L, working capital, balance sheet, capex, and cash flow.
• Provide financial analysis of cost and margin performance and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate audit, internal controls, and SOX compliance activities with corporate and local government teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing finance or plant controller roles.
• Strong partnership skills with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Experience handling US government accounting requirements for marine business.

Required skills

• OneStream financial planning and reporting software.
• Knowledge of POC accounting methodology.
• SOX compliance and internal audit expertise.
