Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – MICU (Troy)

About the role

Join Corewell Health’s critical care team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the Medical ICU (MICU) located in Troy. Working primarily 12‑hour midnight shifts, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat critically ill patients under the guidance of the medical director.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and psychosocial status through interviews, examinations, and diagnostic studies.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and adjust treatment plans.
• Write prescriptions, order labs, and manage therapeutic measures according to department protocols.
• Determine patient eligibility for clinical trials and coordinate consultations.
• Document patient histories, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to ensure high‑quality patient care.
• Provide preventive health services such as screenings and immunizations.

Required profile

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience or strong interest in critical care and ICU settings.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour midnight shifts and adapt to other shift needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
