Per Diem RN – Kids First Pediatric Unit – Morrilton, AR

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Kids First pediatric unit in Morrilton, AR. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides flexible, on‑site nursing support to deliver high‑quality care to children and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse license in Arkansas.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts in an on‑site hospital setting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
