About the role
We are seeking a Payroll & HRIS Assistant to support payroll and human‑resource information systems for a leading fashion brand in the United States. The position is based in New York City, works on a hybrid schedule (three days onsite, two days remote), and starts as an ongoing freelance assignment through the end of the year.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records in SuccessFactors and ADP, including new hires, terminations, promotions and pay changes.
- Process timesheets, answer payroll‑related inquiries, and support the payroll inbox.
- Manage HRIS data accuracy, conduct periodic audits, and resolve missing or incorrect time entries.
- Provide training and support to store managers and team members on HRIS functions.
- Assist with annual bonus, merit increase processes and salary survey inputs.
- Participate in special projects related to HR technology and payroll administration.
Required profile
- 2 + years of experience in payroll or HRIS administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational abilities and accurate data‑entry capability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and store managers.

What we offer
- Hourly rate of $25‑$28 based on experience.
