Panel Technician

About the role

Electro-Matic, a SunSource company, is seeking a Panel Technician to install electrical wiring and assemble components in control cabinets and industrial equipment. The position is based in an indoor warehouse environment with moderate noise levels and occasional customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Square, align, and assemble enclosures, back plates, and components; drill and tap mounting holes and install hardware.
• Lay out wiring and electrical installations according to specifications and schematics.
• Wire control panels, lighting fixtures, and field devices; cut, strip, bend, and form wire and conduit; terminate conductors using soldering, crimping, and connectors.
• Install breakers, relays, bus bars, transformers, meters, and fuse blocks, as well as fans, filters, and other accessories.
• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical machinery, install motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, and safety devices.
• Integrate PLCs, HMIs, drives, and field devices; perform start‑up, calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of machines.

Required profile

• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods and perform frequent crouching, crawling, stooping, or kneeling.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb and handle tools and components safely.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for service calls or installations.
