Operator III, Molding & Tooling Production Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Operator III to join its manufacturing team in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on operating molding tools and equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast‑paced eye‑care production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate complex molding tools and automated equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform quality inspections using gauges and fixtures, and monitor statistical quality data.
• Handle materials, resolve minor equipment issues, and participate in mold changes.
• Troubleshoot medical‑device molds and conduct optical tool inspections, assembly, set‑up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeovers.
• Operate the solvent supply and disposal system for production and research.
• Complete required training, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to GxP regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
• Availability to work Thursday – Sunday, 4:45 AM – 4:45 PM CST.
• On‑site work in Houston with up to 10% travel.
• No relocation assistance or sponsorship available.
