About the role
The United States Navy is seeking an Operational Medical Officer to deliver comprehensive medical care to Sailors, Marines and operational units. This full‑time, on‑site position supports mission readiness both ashore and at sea, offering a unique blend of clinical practice and strategic health leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary care, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct physical examinations and manage medical readiness for assigned personnel.
- Coordinate follow‑up care and ensure continuity of treatment within the operational environment.
- Advise command leadership on health status and readiness of units.
- Deliver medical support during operational missions, including deployments at sea.
Required profile
- MD or DO from an accredited institution (or ECFMG certified).
- Unrestricted medical license.
- U.S. citizenship and high moral character.
- Age between 21 and 57, in accordance with Title 10 U.S. Code.
