Offset Press Operator – Night Shift

About the role

Join Smurfit Westrock as an Offset Press Operator on the night shift (7 PM‑7 AM) in Mebane, NC. You will work with a crew to produce high‑quality sustainable packaging, ensuring each job meets customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review job tickets, determine sheet size, quantity, and colors required.
• Coordinate with the second press operator to match ink supplies to specifications.
• Adjust printing units for color control and registration.
• Mount plates on the press, either independently or with assistance.
• Make ink and water adjustments, monitor console and auxiliary controls.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Continuously check quality and registration, completing production and quality reports.
• Lead the crew to optimize production, quality, and safety.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating printing presses; offset experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow job tickets accurately.
• Effective communication and basic computer proficiency.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb regularly, up to 50 lb intermittently, and up to 75 lb rarely; stand for up to 12 hours.
• Willingness to undergo a drug screening after a conditional offer.
