Mobile Game Developer (Java) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mobile Game Developer to create and enhance simple 2D game features using Java and the libGDX framework. This fully remote contract role offers the chance to work closely with AI specialists and contribute to engaging interactive experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise 2D game components with Java and libGDX.
• Collaborate with AI specialists to design interactive game elements and gather training data.
• Implement core mechanics such as sprite handling, game loops, and input processing.
• Debug and troubleshoot code to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and help improve internal coding standards.
• Document technical processes and workflows for cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of Java programming and object‑oriented principles.
• Hands‑on experience with libGDX from coursework, personal projects, or prototypes.
• Understanding of fundamental game development concepts (game loops, sprites, input management).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for technical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated interest in building games or interactive applications.
