Mobile Application Developer

About the role

CivicPlus is looking for a Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Android and iOS applications. You will play a key part in modernising the mobile platform by migrating native apps to a cross‑platform Flutter architecture, delivering high‑quality experiences for local government organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android features using Kotlin and Java.
• Design, develop, and maintain iOS features using Swift.
• Migrate existing native applications to Flutter and define shared component strategies.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, DevOps, and backend teams to implement new features.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Debug and resolve performance issues, crashes, and platform inconsistencies.
• Implement unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay current with mobile development trends and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3–5+ years developing Android apps with Kotlin.
• 2+ years developing iOS apps with Swift.
• 2+ years developing production‑grade Flutter applications.
• Experience with mobile modernization or migration projects.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, MVI, or Redux‑style state management.
• Proficiency integrating RESTful APIs and using Git.
• Experience writing unit and/or integration tests.
