Mechanical Engineer – Design & Analysis (Houston)

About the role

This position supports small to medium‑size projects by delivering engineering documentation such as design specifications, procedures, part numbers, bills of material, drawings, calculations and analysis. The role is based in Houston and requires daily onsite attendance.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret customer and industry specifications (ASME, API, NACE) and provide technical solutions.
• Create customer‑specific designs, part numbers and bills of material in the ERP system.
• Develop manufacturing drawings for machined, forged or cast components.
• Prepare engineering specifications, procedures and reports, and verify their accuracy.
• Perform design calculations and review finite element analysis results.
• Identify material and coating solutions and coordinate with the offshore design office.
• Support product testing and assist in preparing technical procedures such as FAT and load‑test protocols.
• Interface with customers to discuss requirements, design options and project updates.
• Participate in HSE awareness activities and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of traditional stress analysis, GD&T, tolerance stack‑up and a general understanding of FEA.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Mathcad and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience creating part numbers and bills of material in an ERP system is a plus.
