Planning Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Manager to lead demand, production, material requirements and inventory planning for our Houston operations. The role ensures alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity and material availability to support on‑time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the daily activities of the production planning team and coordinate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership.
• Analyze demand to identify bottlenecks, set lead times, lot sizes and safety stocks.
• Validate demand forecasts and drive proactive procurement decisions.
• Facilitate cross‑functional Sales & Operations Planning, capacity reviews and production sequencing.
• Communicate material requirements and priorities to Purchasing and manage changes in demand.
• Identify material risks and production constraints, escalating issues and driving mitigation plans.
• Develop and monitor planning KPIs such as schedule adherence, forecast accuracy and inventory performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or Supply Chain Management (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in scheduling, planning and MRP/ERP systems within a complex fabrication environment.
• Proven experience leading demand‑planning and cross‑functional planning initiatives.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
