Market Director – Investments

About the role

Santander is seeking a Market Director for its Investments division in Boston. This senior leader will drive the recruitment, training and performance of Financial Advisors, ensuring superior sales results and high client satisfaction across the branch network.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, coach and develop high‑quality Financial Advisors, delivering training on operations, sales, reporting, product knowledge and compliance.
• Ensure strict adherence to licensing and regulatory requirements, including FINRA, FDIC and applicable state and federal rules.
• Partner with senior leadership to create and execute business plans aligned with Santander Investments’ distribution objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders through regular communication and collaboration.
• Design and implement sales strategies to drive prospecting, client acquisition and relationship management.
• Present investment solutions to clients and support Advisors in closing deals and deepening relationships.
• Oversee market‑level operations, aligning them with strategic goals and performance targets.
• Manage P&L responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in investment services.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience and 5 years of sales management experience within financial services.
• Proven relationship‑management and negotiation abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering business results.
