Manager, Payroll Tax & Audit Lead

About the role

Samsung North America Shared Service Center is seeking a Payroll Tax & Audit Manager to lead tax compliance and audit activities for its high‑volume payroll operation. The role focuses on improving accuracy, driving efficiency, and supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives across payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day payroll tax and audit research to support service‑team projects and improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Excel and Access databases that underpin audit administration and payroll processing.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with all regulatory standards governing payroll tax.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (HR, HRIS, Benefits, Accounting) and external vendors within defined SLAs.
• Evaluate existing processes and documentation to identify efficiency gains and continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Support the Payroll Team in delivering high‑quality results to internal and external payroll customers.
• Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc reports for various stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
