Maintenance Technician – The Clara

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its newly‑launched property, The Clara, in Santa Clara. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and appliances.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory by retrieving supplies, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts instead of replacing them whenever possible.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in property maintenance.
• Proven ability to work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and appliance repair.
• Willingness to work on‑call and weekends.
