Maintenance Supervisor – Avana Matthews Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the interior and exterior of the Avana Matthews community, including grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders generated from resident requests and routine upkeep, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, building exteriors, unit interiors, breezeways, signage, leasing office, garbage areas, parking lots, and other common spaces.
• Periodically inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, collaborating with the Community Manager to order supplies and tools within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facility maintenance, including hands‑on technical and mechanical work.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and Greystar’s operational policies.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and scheduling.
