Leasing Professional – Canyon Park Community

About the role

This position coordinates the community’s marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals. It involves performing all leasing activities, ensuring resident satisfaction throughout the lease term, and securing lease renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities, including greeting prospects, conducting tours, processing applications, credit and background checks, preparing lease packages and ensuring smooth move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues and keep show units in market‑ready condition.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, using resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online tools such as Craigslist, Facebook and email campaigns to drive traffic.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record leasing activity and maintain resident and prospect data.
• Follow‑up with prospects and residents via email, phone or handwritten notes to secure lease signings and renewals, and prepare renewal packages in advance of move‑out dates.

Required profile

• Must hold all state and local licenses or certifications required for leasing activities.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to be on call as needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Experience using online marketing platforms including Craigslist, Facebook and email marketing tools.
