Law Enforcement Officer – Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta

About the role

Join the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a Law Enforcement Officer, Corporal or Senior Corporal. You will support the Bank’s mission of promoting stability and efficiency in the U.S. economy while providing security and emergency services on‑site. On‑site work is essential and scheduled by management.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the building and grounds, respond to alarms, and provide emergency services.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, intercoms, radios and other security systems.
• Control pedestrian and vehicle access using screening equipment and inspect vehicles entering secure areas.
• Prepare shift and incident reports and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Conduct initial investigations of accidents or incidents and may testify in court.
• Participate in special assignments such as protecting dignitaries or escorting contractors in high‑security zones.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; less than 2 years of experience.
• Must complete fingerprinting, background checks, and additional screenings (credit, education, employment verification).
• Physical, psychological, drug, stress/EKG testing and attendance at a law‑enforcement academy are required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Basic law‑enforcement knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications.
