Labor Compliance Coordinator

About the role
Power Design is looking for a methodical professional to support its Labor Department by ensuring compliance with contracts, policies, laws and regulations. Based at the company’s headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, the role focuses on vendor and internal compliance related to prevailing wages, local hiring and other contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement compliance plans for projects with special requirements and deliver training to internal and external teams.
- Create compliance riders for vendor agreements and educate vendors on their obligations.
- Monitor, audit and verify prevailing‑wage certified payroll reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Conduct internal compliance reviews using an approved monitoring program and analyse results to identify deficiencies.
- Examine payroll records, operations, reports and controls of vendors, investigating and resolving payroll, insurance or licensing conflicts.
- Prepare management reports summarising findings, recommendations and corrective actions.
- Provide administrative support to the Labor Operations, Labor Analyst and Labor Programs team.
- Handle confidential compliance information with discretion.
Required profile
- 1‑3 years of experience in compliance, labor or related fields, or equivalent competencies.
- Proven ability to review compliance forms, understand requirements quickly and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Strong critical‑thinking, attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility for a U.S. travel visa.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
