Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

FirstVet is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join a small, focused DevOps team. You will help maintain and improve the infrastructure that powers our digital veterinary clinic, ensuring it remains reliable, secure, and scalable as we expand across Europe and North America.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance cloud infrastructure, tooling, and delivery pipelines.
• Support security and compliance initiatives across the platform.
• Identify gaps in the current environment, propose improvements, and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple product teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations.
• Assist in automating processes and improving reliability of services.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS or similar).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Programming or scripting skills in Python, Bash, TypeScript or equivalent.
• Interest or experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; fluent in English.
• Motivation to learn, take ownership, and proactively improve systems.
