IT Helpdesk & Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

MORSE Corp is looking for a versatile IT Helpdesk & Cybersecurity Specialist to deliver frontline technical support and assist with critical security initiatives. The role blends end‑user assistance, system troubleshooting, and IT operations with cybersecurity monitoring, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support for macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Onboard new employees, configure accounts, and set up hardware/software.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, and network issues.
• Support cybersecurity tasks such as architecture design, risk mitigation, and security solution maintenance.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, system audits, and assist with incident response.
• Research emerging threats, produce cyber‑threat intelligence, and monitor threat actors.
• Review audit logs for anomalies and help document compliance controls.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Experience with scripting (Bash/Shell, Python).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, common IT architectures, and network protocols.
• Familiarity with system administration, virtualization, patch management, and account management.
• Experience using vulnerability scanning tools and following incident‑response processes.
• Excellent written communication for clear technical documentation.
