About the role

Karat is a provider of Interview Engineering that partners with organizations to scale technical hiring and improve software engineering productivity. As an Interview Engineer you will facilitate technical interviews for software developers worldwide, ensuring an inclusive and unbiased hiring experience.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate live technical interviews through Karat’s platform, creating an enjoyable candidate experience.
• Assess candidates on coding fundamentals, problem‑solving approach, communication, and knowledge questions.
• Provide detailed feedback on performance, coding style, and overall suitability.
• Collaborate with Karat’s product and content teams to test and improve interview processes and tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Developer or Engineer.
• Excellent written and oral English communication with a professional demeanor.
• Reliable webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection.
• Prior experience conducting technical interviews (e.g., data structures, algorithms) is preferred.
