Power System Engineer – Software Deployment & Support

About the role

ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer to join its Software Deployment and Operations Division in Irvine, CA. The role blends electrical engineering fundamentals with software troubleshooting to support the deployment, testing, and technical support of ETAP’s electrical digital twin platform.

Key responsibilities

• Install, license, and configure ETAP software environments for customers.
• Troubleshoot network communication and software deployment issues.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test procedures for new ETAP features.
• Identify, log, and validate software defects and enhancement requests.
• Assist with multi‑language deployment environments and system setup.
• Provide technical support and respond to customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and report project status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of power system engineering principles.
• Experience troubleshooting network and software environment issues.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work authorization.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL and database experience (SQL Server CE, SQLite).
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Network troubleshooting.
