Intervention Specialist – Runaway & Homeless Youth (Part‑Time)

About the role

As a compassionate and dedicated member of the Family Youth Interventions team, you will support youth aged 12‑17 who are experiencing crisis, runaway, or homelessness. You will supervise residents, facilitate programs, and provide trauma‑informed, strengths‑based assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide up to six residents through daily schedules and activities.
• Facilitate group sessions, educational programs, life‑skills training, and recreational activities.
• Manage the 24‑hour crisis line and conduct phone and in‑person assessments for prospective clients.
• Maintain daily behavioral and observation documentation and contribute to case management.
• Assist with facility upkeep and participate in community outreach efforts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• 1‑2 years experience in a human or social services role.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass driving record check.
• Negative tuberculosis test and ability to pass criminal and child‑abuse background checks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
