About the role
AVEVA is seeking an Internal Controls Manager to lead its SOX compliance and dual‑reporting transformation (IFRS and US GAAP). Based in Lake Forest, CA, the role works hybrid and supports global finance teams across the United States and worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Support the VP of Risk & Controls in designing global controls that satisfy SOX requirements.
- Establish and run a business‑as‑usual SOX program, including scoping, walkthroughs, testing plans and coordination.
- Deliver training to global stakeholders and ensure consistent control design and implementation.
- Collaborate with Global Process Owners, IT Finance Systems and regional teams to embed controls and automation.
- Lead periodic and annual control testing, prepare Audit Committee materials and manage remediation of deficiencies.
- Oversee relationships with internal audit, external audit, and co‑source partners to deliver an integrated controls plan.
- Recruit and set up a US testing team and act as primary liaison for US‑region stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience in SOX compliance, internal control frameworks, and financial reporting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
- Strong understanding of risk management, audit processes and control testing.
- Ability to work across multiple geographies and coordinate with global finance and IT teams.
