About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a nine‑month, non‑tenure‑track Instructor of Counseling to teach graduate courses in Clinical Mental Health, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Counselor Education. The role involves online instruction, student mentorship, and service to the university and broader community.
Key responsibilities
- Teach CMH, CRC, or CE courses in online formats.
- Work positively with students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
- Mentor and advise graduate students.
- Assist with recruitment, retention, and program initiatives.
- Serve the school, university, and external community.
Required profile
- PhD in Clinical Mental Health, Rehabilitation Counseling, Counselor Education, or a closely related field, preferably from a CACREP‑accredited program.
- Valid state license in the relevant specialization (LCP, CRC, CE, or comparable).
- Graduate online teaching experience (preferred).
- Professional experience in the chosen counseling field (preferred).
