About the role
Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Physical Plant Services invites applications for the position of HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems and refrigeration units across the campus, including diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
Key responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and refrigeration units throughout the campus.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and perform cleaning, adjusting, and repairs on HVAC equipment.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience or training in installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air‑conditioning systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain EPA Section 608 (Type IV Universal) certification within 30 days of hire.
Required skills
- HVAC system installation and repair.
- Refrigeration unit maintenance.
- Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis.
- EPA Section 608 certification (Type IV Universal).
