Household Manager & Family Assistant (Part‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Household Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy family in Huntington, NY. The part‑time role (8 hours/week) focuses on organizing the home, managing schedules, preparing meals, handling laundry, and providing occasional childcare and pet care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain household organization systems, daily resets, and light tidying including dishes, surfaces, and high‑traffic vacuuming.
• Restock pantry, fridge and supplies; manage household inventory lists.
• Assist with meal support: put away groceries, prep and wash produce, and keep the kitchen clean.
• Handle family laundry: wash, fold, and store linens while keeping laundry areas tidy.
• Prepare toddler’s lunch, diaper, and water bags; provide backup pick‑ups, drop‑offs and light supervision as needed.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate calendars and support administrative tasks.
• Occasionally walk the family dog and perform deep‑cleaning projects such as fridge, oven and baseboards.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented self‑starter who enjoys creating efficient systems and anticipating household needs.
• Comfortable around children and a senior dog, with a calm, warm presence.
• Reliable transportation, ability to work independently, and willingness to maintain a smoke‑free environment.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain; bilingual in Spanish or Greek is a plus.
