Household Manager & Family Assistant (Meal Prep & Pet Care)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, proactive Household Manager & Family Assistant to join a busy family in Bethesda, MD. The role blends household management with child‑care, providing meal preparation, pet care, and daily logistical support while maintaining a smooth, organized home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up children after school, transport them to activities, and provide after‑school support including snacks, homework assistance, and bedtime routines.
• Coordinate household schedules, vendors, and service providers such as cleaners, landscapers, and pool maintenance.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare family meals (five days a week for children, two personal meals for the client), including batch‑cooking and kitchen cleanup.
• Manage inventory of pantry items, toiletries, and household supplies; run errands and handle deliveries.
• Care for the family dog by feeding, walking daily, and scheduling vet or grooming appointments.

Required profile

• Highly organized, self‑sufficient, and able to anticipate needs without prompting.
• Comfortable around small dogs and willing to maintain a smoke‑free environment.
• Reliable transportation (family car available) and ability to obtain or hold CPR certification.
• Current vaccinations (COVID & flu) and willingness to keep them up‑to‑date.
• Experience with household management, meal preparation, and light childcare.
