Household Manager & Family Assistant – East Bay

About the role

We are actively recruiting experienced, reliable, and proactive House Managers & Family Assistants to support families across the East Bay (Contra Costa/Alameda Counties). The role focuses on keeping households running smoothly through organization, light home care, family logistics, and meal support, with occasional childcare or after‑school assistance as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Daily home reset: light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, groceries, pantry staples, and restocking of supplies.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork, and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries, and home‑maintenance providers.
• Handle returns, errands, post office, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy family meals or assist with weekly meal planning.
• Grocery shopping and fridge/pantry organization.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children when needed.
• Assist with family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups, date‑night assistance, and engaging children in crafts or outdoor play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, and proactive with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Calm under pressure and comfortable with changing priorities.
• Warm, respectful, and able to build trust with adults and children.
• Tech‑comfortable and able to use shared family apps.
• Reliable transportation and eligibility to work in the U.S.; able to pass a background check.
• Maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated as requested by the family.
