Household Manager & Family Assistant – Childcare & Meal Prep

About the role

We are a calm, growing family in the Kansas City Northland area seeking a part‑time Household Manager & Family Assistant to support our daily life. The role runs Monday‑Thursday, 9 a.m.‑1 p.m., with occasional additional hours for evenings or special projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and engage our toddler during scheduled childcare blocks, prepare kid‑friendly lunches, and run child‑related errands.
• Plan and batch‑cook 2–3 family meals each week, prep snacks, shop for gluten‑free ingredients, and clean the kitchen after cooking.
• Handle laundry and linen care, including special garment handling and regular linen rotation.
• Maintain household organization: daily resets, light tidying, seasonal swaps, indoor plant care, and coordination of donations.
• Perform occasional deep‑cleaning tasks, manage inventory, run errands (dry cleaning, gift shopping, mail handling), and oversee vendors such as cleaners and contractors.
• Assist with vehicle upkeep, track maintenance appointments, and support basic administrative tasks like budgeting and calendar awareness.

Required profile

• Warm, proactive, and detail‑oriented with a genuine love for children and a reliable, long‑term mindset.
• Self‑directed, flexible and able to adapt to varying daily priorities, from childcare to meal prep to organizational projects.
• Authorized to work in the United States, reliable transportation, and able to maintain a smoke‑free, fragrance‑free environment.

Required skills

• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with basic household management tasks such as meal planning, laundry, and vendor coordination.
