Household Manager & Family Assistant – Childcare Focus

About the role

The family is seeking a full‑time Household Manager & Family Assistant to oversee daily household operations and provide dedicated childcare support for a newborn and young children. The role combines home organization, meal planning, errands, and personal assistance to keep the household running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with childcare, including newborn care, daily routines, school drop‑off/pick‑up, and kid‑related errands.
• Maintain household organization systems, daily resets, light tidying, and coordinate bi‑weekly cleaners.
• Plan and prepare 3‑4 healthy, kid‑friendly dinners per week, breakfast, snacks, and school lunches; handle grocery shopping and kitchen cleanup.
• Manage full family laundry, ironing, and linen care; keep laundry area stocked.
• Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies; run errands such as dry cleaning, post office, and gift shopping.
• Maintain the family calendar, provide reminders, and assist with travel planning, receipt tracking, and event coordination.
• Perform minor home maintenance tasks, pet care, vehicle upkeep, and oversee vendors and property maintenance.

Required profile

• Warm, calm, and confident presence with a genuine love for caring for young children.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to anticipate household needs without micromanagement.
• Highly collaborative, communicative, and respectful of family privacy and boundaries.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to maintain a smoke‑free environment.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification before start.
