Household Manager & Family Assistant – Alaska

About the role

We are looking for experienced, reliable, and proactive Household Managers & Family Assistants to support families across Alaska. The role focuses on keeping homes organized, handling light home care, managing family logistics, and providing meal support, with occasional childcare duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home resets: light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, restock groceries, pantry staples, and supplies.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork, and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries, and maintenance providers.
• Handle returns, errands, post‑office tasks, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy meals; assist with weekly meal planning and grocery shopping.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children and support family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups, occasional date‑night assistance, and engaging children in crafts or outdoor play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, proactive, and able to anticipate family needs.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities.
• Warm, respectful, and capable of building trust with adults and children.
• Tech‑comfortable with tools like Google Calendar, Amazon ordering, and shared family apps.
• Reliable transportation, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
• Maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated (including flu and COVID if requested).
