House Manager & Family Assistant (Childcare Support)

About the role

We are a family of three living in Norwalk, CT, seeking a part‑time House Manager & Family Assistant to keep our home running smoothly and provide occasional childcare support. The role includes household organization, errands, pet care, and assistance with our almost‑three‑year‑old son while we manage a busy work schedule and a family member’s cancer treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys) and perform daily tidying.
• Clean bathrooms, floors, and conduct weekly deep‑clean tasks.
• Manage inventory, run errands and coordinate deliveries from stores such as Amazon, Costco, and Target.
• Plan, prep, and pack healthy meals and school lunches for the family.
• Provide light supervision, playtime, and backup childcare for the child.
• Care for two cats, including feeding, water replenishment, and weekly litter box cleaning.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, fuel, cleaning, and schedule service appointments.
• Coordinate vendors and service providers for home maintenance and seasonal projects.

• Reliable transportation with ability to travel with the family (passport required).
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
