House Manager & Family Assistant (Childcare & Meal Prep)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive House Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy family of four in Bronxville, NY. The role combines household organization, light childcare, and meal preparation on a part‑time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off children, supervise after‑school activities, and provide occasional backup childcare.
• Maintain daily household tidiness: surface cleaning, dishes, vacuuming, mudroom management, and preparation for weekly cleaners.
• Prepare up to three family dinners per week, handle kitchen cleanup and grocery errands.
• Manage laundry, including folding, ironing dress shirts, and coordinating linen rotation.
• Monitor pantry, fridge and supply inventories; restock and track subscriptions.
• Feed and walk the family dog, administer daily probiotic treat and manage pet supplies.
• Assist with vehicle upkeep such as occasional cleaning, organizing and fueling.
• Coordinate vendor access, oversee cleaners, and handle outdoor furniture protection.
• Provide occasional administrative support like travel research and calendar updates.

Required profile

• Highly reliable, punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and comfortable reading the household’s needs without being asked.
• Warm and nurturing with children while maintaining clear boundaries and light authority.
• Comfortable around a large dog and able to handle occasional pet care duties.
• Flexible schedule, authorized to work in the United States, and possesses a clean driving record.
