High Rise Maintenance Technician – Houston

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support high‑rise residential properties in the Houston area. The role focuses on ensuring that building systems, common areas, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑requested work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.
